Spotlight on Langley – our estate agents view. Langley lies east of Slough, Berkshire, just off J5 of the M4. Excellent transport facilities include a mainline station providing half-hourly services to London Paddington (25 minutes) and to Slough, Reading, Oxford, Bristol and the West Country. Regular bus routes connect with Slough and Heathrow Airport and there is easy access to the motorway network - the M25, M40 and M3. Proximity to the proposed new Crossrail route will also give direct access to The City and Langley is already seeing the positive impact on property prices.

Merry and bright!
Wednesday, December 21, 2016
From candles to Christmas trees, it’s not too late to create a festive mood and make your home “merry and bright”! If you’re looking for inspiration there’s a fabulous range of options online, in the high street and at local special events. The custom of Christmas lights dates back to 18th century Germany where candles were first used to decorate Christmas trees. It wasn’t until the 20th century that electric lights became popular but by the 1950s, strings of electric lights were widely used along streets and on buildings as Christmas decorations. It’s now incredibly popular (and sometimes highly competitive) to decorate homes and gardens with Christmas lights and moving displays, creating a Christmas wonderland for all to see!

Spotlight on Staines-upon-Thames – our estate agents’ view
Friday, December 16, 2016
Staines-upon-Thames is a vibrant riverside town offering a lifestyle to match. “Upon-Thames” was added to its name in 2012 to promote its Thames side location and boost the local economy. The plan seems to be working - recent research shows that proximity to London, relatively low rents and an increasing number of start-up businesses has put Staines in the spotlight as THE place to be. Staines has seen a massive increase in new businesses per 10,000 population with a figure more than three times the UK average. Despite past poor press, the town has established itself as a hotspot for start-up companies, including high-tech businesses attracted to the M4 corridor. A town centre transformation in recent years and superb transport links by road, rail and air all add up to a highly attractive proposition.
