Potential buyers are invited to come along and find out more about the Government’s Help to Buy scheme, which is available to assist with purchasing one of the final apartments. Doing your homework

When it comes to selling houses, it pays to do your homework to avoid wasting time and money. Low cost options abound in the current property market but what appears to be a money saving option could well turn out to be a gamble that doesn’t pay off. No frills airlines have become an integral part of today’s tourist industry but consider whether you would pay between £500 and £1000 for a ticket in the knowledge that the plane may never take off? You then wait six months but end up no closer to your destination and have no chance of a refund. Would you be prepared to take that risk? This analogy reflects what is happening in the property industry with the advent of agents with a purely online offering and no high street presence. Most “online only” agents require payment of an upfront fee of between £500 and £1000 with no guarantee of selling your house and no refund if you don’t.

Spotlight on Wraysbury - our estate agent’s view. Wraysbury has had more than its fair share of famous residents over the years – so just what is it about Wraysbury that attracts the glitterati? A riverside lifestyle, access to London, its theatres and all that the capital offers also lure both stars and mere mortals alike.
Autumn – time for a mini makeover?
Monday, September 11, 2017
September brings a “back to school” chill in the air and with no sign of an Indian summer it’s a great time to give your home a mini makeover, adding warmth and texture to every room. When the days get cooler, small changes, such as heavier fabrics and warm lighting transform your home and now’s also the perfect time to give your garden a tidy up before frosts set in.

The Old Vicarage in Wraysbury is a Grade II Listed family home set in over four acres in total. Its origins lie in the early 15th century; some parts date back to the early 1400s when Henry V was King of England and is almost certainly the oldest residential property in the parish. Much modernised and altered over the years, The Old Vicarage has many original features: fine interior timbers, beamed ceilings and walls, timber floors, leaded casement windows, open fire places, an old tile roof and 17th century chimney.
Home. Work.

If commuting’s not for you, and working from home is an option, there are increasingly innovative ways to combine work and leisure at home. You may even be able to create a workspace in your home for less than the cost of your average season ticket. Fantastic work-friendly spaces can be found under the stairs, in a hallway, or even in a cupboard if extending upwards or outwards is not an option.
