Spotlight on Staines-upon-Thames – our estate agents’ view
Friday, December 16, 2016
Staines-upon-Thames is a vibrant riverside town offering a lifestyle to match. “Upon-Thames” was added to its name in 2012 to promote its Thames side location and boost the local economy. The plan seems to be working - recent research shows that proximity to London, relatively low rents and an increasing number of start-up businesses has put Staines in the spotlight as THE place to be. Staines has seen a massive increase in new businesses per 10,000 population with a figure more than three times the UK average. Despite past poor press, the town has established itself as a hotspot for start-up companies, including high-tech businesses attracted to the M4 corridor. A town centre transformation in recent years and superb transport links by road, rail and air all add up to a highly attractive proposition.

Spotlight on Gerrards Cross – our estate agents’ view
Friday, November 18, 2016
Gerrards Cross is quite simply one of England’s most sought after places to live with a reputation for exclusivity and property prices that have risen faster and are considerably higher than the UK average. So what makes Gerrards Cross so desirable? At first sight it may not appear to have the rich history of neighbouring Chilterns villages. Much of its architecture dates from post 1906, following the arrival of the railway - a catalyst for rapid growth. Scratch the surface, however, and there is much more to Gerrards Cross than first meets the eye.
