Happy new home

When four sets of tenants looking for a rental property contacted us in the last couple of weeks before Christmas, they fully expected a “no room at the inn” response as they had from other agents. And in an ideal world you would expect a bit more time to arrange viewings, referencing and get all the paperwork in order to ensure a smooth transition. But life doesn’t always go to plan and whether it’s an emergency move caused by burst pipes or relocation for a new job starting in 2 weeks’ time, our lettings teams always go the extra mile to achieve the seemingly impossible.
With a job move from Scotland to Amersham, one tenant made an offer on a property on 21st December so with the Christmas break looming, references and signing contracts had to be turned around within 3 days to achieve their Christmas wish of a “new home to start the New Year”. Another family simply “wanted a home to put their Christmas tree in” so Sharon in our admin team whizzed the paperwork through in under 24 hours to make their wish come true.
Leaking underground pipes in the Staines area forced two tenants to seek rental options as an alternative to their own home in the run up to Christmas. Working closely with all parties involved, including the insurance companies, one viewed on Friday 11th, offered on Saturday 12th and moved in on 19th December. The other viewed a property on Wednesday 9th, offered on 11th December, agreed with Countrywide Insurance on 17th December and were able to move in on 23rd December.
Our Feltham team was also able to provide an early Christmas gift for one landlord, whose property had been on the market for two weeks with another agent at the end of November. The landlord had been told that the market was “quiet with Christmas just round the corner” and not to expect to let the property before January. With a waiting list of tenants, however, Frosts were able to arrange seven viewings in two days. Our tenant relocating from Newcastle viewed on 25th November, made an offer which was accepted on 28th. All references were complete by 1st December and they moved in on 5th December.
