Looking after people and property

In line with our company ethos of “looking after people and property”, Frosts again opted to make a charity donation instead of sending Christmas Cards and this year our chosen charity was Chiltern Foodbank. Earlier today, Jacqui Cuthbert, Branch Manager and Nick Holloway, Negotiator at The Frost Partnership, Chesham visited Chiltern Foodbank to hand over the resulting cheque for £700. Jacqui and Nick had a guided tour of the premises, were briefed on the charity, and had the opportunity to meet the volunteers there. A very humbling experience to discover just how many people are in need and are helped each week by the charity.

Chiltern Foodbank supplies emergency food parcels to people in the Chiltern District and Wendover area. It relies on donations from the general public and on permanent collection bins in Sainsbury's and Waitrose in Chesham, Tesco Superstore in Amersham, The Co-op in Great Missenden and Budgen's in Wendover. The foodbank is run by local people for local people – they depend on the community’s support to relieve various forms of poverty in our area. Working with over 100 referral partners they assess needs and issue vouchers, where appropriate, that can be exchanged for an emergency food parcel.
